What is Shop with a Cop?

The “Shop With a Cop” event involves law enforcement officers from all agencies in Washington County donating their time to take a child in need Christmas shopping for their families.  Children are selected by referrals from various social service agencies throughout the county.  Donated gift cards are provided to each child who then select Christmas gifts, with the help of the officers, for their family members while shopping at Mejier.  Dinner for the children and officers, gift-wrapping by volunteers, and games conclude the evening.  The program provides children an opportunity to experience the personal rewards of giving to others, as well as provides law enforcement with an opportunity to connect to the youth in our community in what hopes to be an unforgettable experience.

What is our annual goal?

Each year we strive to take 50 children shopping for their families to make their holiday a little brighter.
